Must also be available for overtime, and work during snow/ice events when they occur. Location and Travel: This job operates out in the field on clients’ properties. Overseeing team members and ensuring they are efficient and productive. Accountable for the properties being maintained and meeting clients expectations.. Time bending, stretching, kneeling, digging, etc. could occur, and heavy lifting is required. This position’s work is performed outdoors in all types of weather and seasons. ___ Job Summary The Property Care Manager with Sunline Landscapes must possess superb communication and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional organizational skills. The Property Care Manager is responsible for the client relationship, from the original sale through continued weekly maintenance, serving as “One Point of Contact” for clients. In order to be successful in this position one must have a strong knowledge of best horticultural practices and practical experience. You must also be able to multi-task and thrive within a high-pressure work environment and perform various professional, administrative and technical work in the design, enhancement, and maintenance side of custom residential landscape. Know where opportunity exists for improved client service to current and prospective clients and opportunities for additional market penetration To have complete understanding of all contractual obligations and client preferences and effectively communicate to production staff. To maintain constant awareness of client expectations, production quality on assigned properties and communicate any deficiencies to production. Support in finding resolution. To support production in maintaining a safe working environment. To monitor performance of work teams on assigned properties. Communicate with production any needs for training, discipline, and process improvement. Support and assist production in achievement of necessary steps. To support and participate in the development, implementation and refinement of departmental best practices in all areas of field operations and safety. To keep abreast of new methods that might be applicable to the Company; constantly pursues new ideas, which could be implemented. To proactively identify and recommend potential problems within production to help minimize damage/risk or possibly create unforeseen opportunity for gain. To develop long-term life-cycle property management plans to meet clients projected needs and enhance overall quality of service. To seek and architect opportunity for enhancements and project upgrades that are consistent with client preferences and promote revenue growth for the company. Follow company policies, procedures, and work standards. Maintain established sales volume by keeping current with client needs, changing trends, and competitors; increase sales by following up on new leads and prospective clients. Participate in onsite visits and walkthroughs with clients to ensure needs are being met. Inform clients of relevant issues regarding their property and involve them in relevant decision-making. Manage all communication and correspondence with current and prospective clients, ensuring a “One Point of Contact.” Develop strong positive relationships with clients based on clear and frequent communication, mutual trust, and the ability to meet clients' needs. Develop win-win opportunities for the client and the company Proactively manage properties by inspecting and locating problems in the landscape before the client brings them to our attention and then communicate problems to clients. Defines resolution that is within clients’ needs and budgetary parameters. Frequent, effective, professional, and timely communication with clients. Provides candid feedback on client relationships and the client’s perceptions of the product and service being provided, to maximize client retention. Oversee and guide weekly maintenance and enhancements to ensure end result will exceed client expectations and enhance Sunline’s reputation. Maintain accurate records and documentation (i.e., client history, sales reports, client contact list, site audits, monthly communication emails, etc.) Maintain job costs per guidelines and assist in meeting profitability goals. Prepare and present proposals, renewals, and contracts in a completely professional manner, according to company standards using appropriate standard templates. Work with the Production Managers to ensure any desires or information expressed by the client is completed accurately. Communicates with Administrative Support team, Accounting Team, Operations Managers, Production Managers, and Team Leaders as required to update project status. Works with the Administrative Support team to ensure accurate and timely process flow. Works independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring, as well as ongoing projects. Ensures efficient process and information flow for workload requirements. Consistently evaluate work and determine if further steps are needed to meet internal and external client expectations. Maintain a high standard of quality of all work performed. Participate in weekly departmental and training meetings. Arrive for each workday and designated meetings on time and prepared. Required Education and Licenses Bachelor’s degree in related field is required – Landscape Construction, Landscape Architect, Horticulture, or Construction Management. Will consider other relevant degree programs. Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured on company policy Required Work Experience and Skills 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of horticulture, garden management, landscape maintenance/management, and water management Training and experience in horticultural best practices Widely versed and current in horticultural and botanical fields (e.g., pollinators, invasive plants, native plants, plant disease, Integrated Pest Management, etc.) Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office (Word, Excel), In cooperation with the shop, maintain and update power equipment list and track necessary maintenance and detailed completion dates.
