FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

Building Maintenance Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to support the daily upkeep, repair, and maintenance of company facilities (3 clinic locations in Bradenton) and related furniture, fixtures, and equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring all building systems operate efficiently while maintaining a safe, functional, and professional environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentryConduct regular inspections of clinical and non-clinical areas to identify and address safety concerns, cleanliness, and operational readinessMaintain exam rooms, procedure areas, and common spaces to ensure proper functioning of fixtures, lighting, and utilitiesRespond promptly to maintenance requests according to scheduled site visits and urgent maintenance needsPerform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of facility assetsMaintain exterior areas, including walkways, parking lots, and landscaping as neededCoordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and servicesEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulationsAssist with facility renovations, improvements, and special projectsAccurately document maintenance tasks in the building management application, including time, location, and associated costsParticipate in an on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend urgent maintenance supportMaintain a safe work environment and report issues or concerns to the Director of Provider Support or Site Manager Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities and work stylesStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a sense of urgencyFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities and schedulesProfessional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate closely with management and team members on facility-related projects and initiatives Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical training, facility management, engineering background, or related experience preferredFacilities management certification is a plusMinimum of 5 years of facility maintenance experience requiredWorking knowledge of HVAC systems, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systemsExperience with facility supply purchasing, groundskeeping, and equipment repair coordinationBasic understanding of elevators, fire alarm systems, plumbing, and other facility systemsAbility to lift, move, and transport maintenance equipment and supplies as neededValid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on site responsibilities Preferred AttributesSelf-motivated and dependableStrong customer service mindsetCommitment to maintaining a safe and professional environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Schedule: Full-time, with after-hours or weekend support as needed.
