JobTitle:NetworkEngineer Location:ShingleSprings,Turlock,Sonora JobType:Full-Time ReportsTo:DirectorofEngineering TheNetworkEngineerplaysacriticalroleindesigning,implementing,andmaintainingCal.net'snetworkinfrastructuretoensurehighperformance,scalability,andreliability.ThisrolepartnerscloselywiththeNOC,fieldoperations,andtechnicalsupportteamstoproactivelyimprovenetworkperformanceandquicklyresolvecomplexissues.TheNetworkEngineerisresponsibleforadvancingthenetworkarchitecture,drivingautomationandprocessimprovements,andsupportingtheorganization'smissionofdeliveringexceptionalinternetservice—especiallyinhard-to-serveareas. Thisisafull-timepositionthatwillincludeparticipationinanon-callrotationtosupportnetworkincidentsandescalations. Focus Design,deploy,andmaintainnetworkinfrastructureincludingIProuting,switching,andfixedwirelesssystems. Leadnetworkarchitectureinitiatives,includingexpansion,upgrades,andoptimizationofISPandbackbonenetworks. TroubleshootcomplexnetworkissuesandprovideescalationsupporttotheNOC,TechnicalSupport,andFieldOperationsteams. Analyzenetworkperformanceandimplementproactiveimprovementstoensureuptime,resiliency,andscalability. Developandmaintainnetworkdocumentation,diagrams,andstandardoperatingprocedures(SOPs). Implementmonitoring,alerting,andautomationtoolstoimprovevisibilityandoperationalefficiency. Participateinvendorevaluations,technologytesting,anddeploymentofnewsolutions. Drivecontinuousimprovementinitiativestoreducedowntime,improvecustomerexperience,andstreamlineoperations. SkillSet 3–7+yearsofexperienceinnetworkengineeringoradvancednetworkoperations. StrongknowledgeofIPnetworking,includingTCP/IP,routingprotocols(BGP,OSPF),VLANs,andswitching. ExperiencewithISPortelecomnetworkenvironments,includingbackbone,aggregation,andaccessnetworks. Proficiencywithnetworktroubleshootingtoolsandmethodologies(packetcapture,latencyanalysis,etc.). Familiaritywithnetworkmonitoringandmanagementplatforms. Stronganalytical,problem-solving,anddocumentationskills. Abilitytomanagemultipleprojectsandprioritiesinafast-pacedenvironment. Excellentcommunicationskills,withtheabilitytoworkeffectivelyacrosstechnicalandnon-technicalteams.
