Partnering with school districts nationwide, our dropout recovery and student re-engagement programs are supported by cutting-edge technology and a commitment to compassionate, impactful teaching.The RoleAs a Science Content Coach, you will serve as the primary instructional resource for our Graduation Candidates (GCs), delivering competency-based content, supporting personalized learning, and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success. You'll work with a collaborative team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner's journey.Key ResponsibilitiesEnrollmentSupport new GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement effortsAssist with the development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCsRetentionServe as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support teamMonitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievementAcademicsPlan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settingsMonitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessmentsAnalyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomesProvide remediation and enrichment opportunities to address learning gaps and accelerate successParticipate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community eventsAdvocacyCollaborate with the GC support team to develop personalized learning pathways, transition strategies, and incentive plansRepresent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiativesPerform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy's missionWhat We're Looking ForEducation: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferredLicensure: Florida 6-12 secondary certification in Biology/Earth&Space (REQUIRED)Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred)Skills: Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skillsPassion: A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personallyPreferred QualificationsExperience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settingsBilingual (Spanish preferred)Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education modelsExperience with competency-based learning, instructional coaching, or project-based educationStrong comfort with educational technology tools and platformsWhy Join Us?Being part of Acceleration Academies means joining a team that's dedicated to transforming student outcomes.
