Computer World Services Corp (CWS) is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Software Quality Analyst who is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance (QA) methodologies to ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements within a large-scale enterprise IT environment. This role evaluates software, hardware, and associated documentation throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure delivered solutions meet functional, performance, and security requirements.This position also performs duties aligned with Business Analysis and Project Management support functions, ensuring quality is embedded in requirements definition, system design, development, and deployment activities.Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis SupportCollaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirementsTranslate business requirements into testable acceptance criteria and quality benchmarksParticipate in the development of process flows, use cases, and system documentationEnsure alignment between business objectives and technical implementationProject Management SupportSupport project planning, scheduling, and tracking activities across multiple initiativesAssist in defining project deliverables, milestones, and quality gatesMonitor project progress and provide status updates related to quality assurance activitiesCoordinate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutionsSupport risk identification and mitigation related to software quality and deliveryQuality Assurance & ControlDevelop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with QA standards, guidelines, and proceduresDefine quality characteristics, metrics, scoring parameters, and acceptance criteria for IT systems and applicationsEstablish and maintain processes for evaluating software, hardware, and technical documentationConduct formal and informal reviews throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment phasesMonitor adherence to QA standards across application development, system integration, and operational support activitiesIdentify defects, track resolution, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and validatedTest Planning & ExecutionDevelop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for enterprise applications and systemsPerform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with defined requirementsDocument test results, defects, and quality metrics in enterprise tracking systemsProcess Improvement & Standards ComplianceDevelop and refine QA processes, procedures, and standards to improve efficiency and effectivenessRecommend improvements to development and testing methodologiesEnsure compliance with Federal, NIH, and organizational IT governance standardsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives across application development and operationsDocumentation & ReportingDevelop and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and validation reportsProvide quality metrics, defect analysis, and performance reporting to stakeholdersDocument review findings and ensure traceability of requirements to test outcomesRequired Technical SkillsExperience with software QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and lifecycle processesKnowledge of test planning, test case development, and defect tracking toolsUnderstanding of business systems and enterprise applicationsExperience working with relational databases and data validation testingFamiliarity with Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologiesExperience with enterprise collaboration and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow)Preferred SkillsExperience supporting Federal or NIH environmentsFamiliarity with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelinesUnderstanding of application hosting environments (on-prem and cloud)Experience with ColdFusion, PHP, .NET, or similar enterprise application platformsExperience supporting data-driven applications and database validationKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and quality-focused mindsetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to coordinate across technical and business stakeholdersStrong organizational and documentation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentEducation & ExperienceEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fieldExperience3–7 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or systems analysisExperience working in enterprise IT environments supporting application development and operationsExperience participating in full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activitiesCertificationsCertified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile certificationRelevant cloud certification (e.g., Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Associate)ITIL certification preferred.Security ClearanceApplicants must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearanceComputer World Services is an affirmative action and equal employment opportunity employer.
