Job Title: Maintenance LeadmanLocation: Cave-in-Rock, Illinois, United StatesEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are hiring a Maintenance Leadman on behalf of one of our clients. This role is responsible for ensuring plant equipment is maintained in a state of readiness while leading and directing daily maintenance activities within a quarry environment.You will play a key role in supervising maintenance work, performing inspections, and supporting preventive maintenance programs to ensure efficient and safe plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain plant equipment in a ready and operational conditionLead and assign daily maintenance tasks within the teamPerform inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipmentPrepare daily and weekly maintenance and operational reportsSupport troubleshooting and repair of plant equipmentPromote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standardsFoster a strong safety culture across all maintenance activitiesQualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:Minimum 3+ years of maintenance experience in a quarry or similar environmentExperience with troubleshooting, screen changes, bearing replacements, and preventive maintenanceSkills and RequirementsStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to delegate, train, and support team members effectivelyGood communication and interpersonal skillsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)Knowledge of safety equipment and emergency proceduresAbility to work under pressure in a dynamic work environmentPositive attitude with a collaborative approachPhysically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbsComfortable working on uneven surfaces and in low-light conditionsValid driver’s license requiredMSHA certification preferredAdditional RequirementsAdherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators where requiredMust meet respirator fit requirements (clean-shaven where applicable)What We OfferCompetitive salary401(k) retirement savings options (pre-tax and Roth)Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceHealth Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Paid time off and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveEmployee wellness programsEducational assistance programsEmployee discounts and voluntary benefitsApply Now !
