To deliver spectacular experiences worldwide.Find out more at: www.solotech.comThe Audio Specialist is responsible for being a technical expert and resource to the project managers and clients in the latest wireless technology and audio networking. You provide support regarding the design, logistics, and execution of audio projects.Your day will look like this:Act as a technical expert on all the professional audio equipment with an emphasis on com systems, wireless technology and audio networking. Oversee & execute the build of intricate control racks and RF systems Occasionally consult on RFP/RFQ submissionsPropose solutions to audio projects that fit within the scope of Solotech standardsComplete lists of preparations in the inventory database (R2) with the coordinatorsOversee & execute quality control for wireless systems and associated products. Oversee & consult with production technicians on preparation of events in the warehouseShare knowledge with production technicians as they start work on eventsAct as a consultant and technical support for pre-productions events; remote troubleshooting and on event sitesPerform integration, programming and configuration of the equipment: mixers, recording systems processors, computers, etc. Occasionally make ready all aspects of audio systems prior to client’s arrivalTrain the staff and clients as requiredYour profile:Education:Highschool diploma or GEDDiploma specialized studies in sound, digital or audio or any deemed relevant training an assetExperience:Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the field of live sound, engineering, productionExperience in drafting programs an assetExperience in a rental equipment company Knowledge:Knowledge of the R2 inventory software (an asset)Good knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)Specific Requirements:Capacity to anticipate problems and to find solutions by respecting the operational processes and policies of the companyStrong knowledge base in com systems, wireless technology and audio networkingKeen eye for detailStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate information in a logical and straightforward mannerAbility to work independently as well as on a teamGood ability to prioritize within tight deadlinesAbility to work under pressure and to adapt to changeStrong customer service skillsAdept in other computer programs that may be requiredPhysical Requirements:This is not an all-inclusive list but is intended to give an overview of the requirements for this position.
