The Assistant Swimming Pool Manager must coordinate with all associated departmental personnel (Pool Manager, FFC Old Town Management and Housekeeping) to accomplish duties.***Seasonal position, April through October (final end date is TBD)***Position: Assistant Pool ManagerJob Type: Seasonal (April 2026 through October 2026)Location: Sandburg Pools (Managed by FFC Old Town)Compensation: equivalent of $47,840 annually ($23/hour) - Salary is prorated for the season.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workersEvery staff member, regardless of position, has a primary and urgent responsibility to clean and disinfect all club components as they are used by members and guests and yourself. Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellenceAs a team member manager, assist with the opening and closing of the club on a team rotational basisPerform weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance schedules on all exercise equipment. Exercise equipment being defined as all cardiovascular and strength machines, and group exercise equipmentMaintain all preventative maintenance and repair action logs for poolsPerform repairs and parts replacements as neededPerform daily, weekly, monthly, preventative maintenance schedules on the swimming poolMaintain all preventative maintenance, chemical adjustment, back-wash, water exchange and repair action logs for all swimming poolTest water chemistry parameters, including sanitizer and pH levels, for pool on a daily basis. Make chemical adjustments based on results of water chemistry testingCoordinate with support staff to ensure cleanliness and overall appearance of pool and surrounding areas.Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly mannerBe available to respond to emergencies at the facility in a timely fashionAttend all required staff meetingsActively promote member eventsRespond to members’ concerns, suggestions, and requestsDemonstrate a positive customer service attitudeMiscellaneous duties and responsibilities assigned by the Pool ManagerRegistering membersPayrollStaff schedulingLife guard dutiesCashier dutiesQualifications:Lifeguard Certified and experience 3-4 years, certifications last 3 yearsCPR for professional rescuer certifiedFirst Aid certifiedKnowledge of pool operations, chemical and mechanicalPrevious aquatics managementKnowledge of housekeeping responsibilities of outdoor aquatics facilityPossess excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to complete multiple tasks, demonstrate accountability and initiative, and possess a strong work ethicPhysical requirements include: walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling, pushing, and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodationOur Commitment to Hospitality: FFC offers a robust training program mandatory for all employees to attend.
