Lynchburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (LCDJR) is seeking a skilled and motivatedAutomotive Technicianto join our Fixed Operations team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and software
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, and inspections
Repair and service engines, transmissions, fuel systems, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as wiring, batteries, alternators, and sensors
Follow manufacturer specifications, service manuals, and technical service bulletins
Ensure all repairs comply with safety policies and environmental regulations
Accurately document repairs and recommendations
Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Formal training or experience in Automotive Technology preferred
State Inspection License required
Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Diagnostics & troubleshooting
Engine repair and maintenance
Electrical system diagnostics and repair
Brake, suspension, and steering systems
Manual and automatic transmission service
HVAC system repair
Proficient use of scan tools, OBD systems, and multimeter
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver's License
State Inspection License (preferred, not required)
