Real Estate Paralegal
Rendina Healthcare Real Estate, a nationally recognized developer, owner, and operator of healthcare real estate, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support its legal department and growing national portfolio.This position provides transactional and operational legal support across a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, leasing, entity management, and real estate operations. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting sophisticated commercial real estate transactions in a dynamic environment and possess strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.This role offers the opportunity to work closely with legal counsel, development, leasing, asset management, and finance teams in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.Key Responsibilities:Real Estate Transactions & Development SupportAssist with acquisitions, dispositions, and development transactions of various healthcare real estate facilities as follows:· Prepare initial drafts of, organize, and manage transactional documentation, including:o Purchase and sale agreementso Construction contractso Ground leases and commercial leaseso Easements, declarations, and ancillary project agreementso Closing documents and post-closing deliverables· Coordinate due diligence activities, including:o Title and survey reviewo Zoning and entitlement documentationo Environmental reports and property diligence materialso Organizing, populating and updating due diligence files for lenders and buyers· Take the lead on drafting and maintaining closing checklists, signature packets, and transaction summaries· Coordinate and assist with acquisition, disposition and financing closing processesLeasing & Asset Management SupportAssist leasing and asset management departments with respect to a national portfolio of healthcare real estate as follows:· Assist with preparation of initial drafts, revisions, and processing of:o Commercial lease agreementso Lease amendments, renewals, assignments, and subleaseso Tenant improvement agreementso Estoppel certificates and SNDAs· Support leasing and asset management teams with document tracking and execution· Maintain lease files, critical dates, and transaction records across the portfolioFinancing SupportAssist with construction, acquisition, and refinancing loan transactions, as follows:· Organize financing documentation, including loan agreements, guaranties, and ancillary loan documents· Prepare closing documents and ancillary agreements· Coordinate the closing processCorporate Support· Coordinate entity formation, maintenance, annual filings, registrations, and withdrawals across multiple jurisdictions· Maintain corporate records, entity organizational documents, and internal legal databases· Coordinate and track licensing requirements (e.g., business licenses, broker licenses, property management licenses)Legal Operations & Administrative Support· Prepare closing binders, abstracts, and electronic transaction files· Assist in updating and maintaining legal templates, forms, and tracking systems· Coordinate with outside counsel, title companies, lenders, surveyors, and consultants· Support document management and organization for active projects and transactions· Support special projects and provide assistance to other departments as neededMinimum Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in business, paralegal studies, or related field preferred· Paralegal certificate or real estate-focused legal training preferred· Minimum 5–7 years of experience supporting commercial real estate transactions· Experience with:o Title and survey reviewo Commercial leasing documentationo Commercial real estate closings and financing transactions· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems· Experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department preferredCore Competencies· Strong organizational and project management skills· Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through· Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team-oriented approach· Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with discretion· Commitment to working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentReports To: General Counsel
