We believe the delivery industry today is massively under-serving merchants, so we’re building a frictionless, reliable, and sustainable solution for cities everywhere.Coco operates a fast-growing fleet of delivery robots across major U.S. markets, partnering with cities, merchants, and communities to enable a new kind of urban logistics.About The RoleAs the Manager of Government Relations, you will support Coco’s regulatory strategy and public sector engagement across its operating markets. You will build relationships with government representatives and community stakeholders in existing markets (e.g.,Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Jersey City) and assist our expansion into new cities and states.This is a highly cross-functional, externally facing role. You will work closely with Operations, Legal, Product, and other teams to ensure Coco can launch and scale successfully in complex regulatory environments.What You’ll DoBuild and manage relationships with city officials, regulators, and local stakeholders across assigned marketsSupport market launches and expansions by helping secure permits, approvals, and favorable operating conditionsRepresent Coco in meetings, hearings, and working groups with public sector stakeholdersTrack and interpret local legislation, regulatory changes, and permitting processes affecting autonomous deliveryPartner with Operations and Legal to ensure day-to-day compliance with local rules and requirementsHelp develop market-specific engagement strategies to support Coco’s growthSupport community engagement efforts, including outreach to neighborhood groups, business associations, and advocacy organizationsAssist in identifying and evaluating new market opportunities, including regulatory feasibility and stakeholder landscapePrepare briefing materials, talking points, and updates for internal stakeholders and leadershipCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between policy, operations, and product decisionsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field3+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairsExperience working with local or state government stakeholders (e.g., city officials, DOTs, regulatory agencies)Demonstrated ability to navigate permitting, regulatory, or public sector processesAbility to travel up to 30%Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to operate independently while collaborating across teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience in mobility, robotics, transportation, or logisticsFamiliarity with municipal policy environments in major U.S. citiesExperience supporting market launches, expansions, or public-private partnershipsBackground in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environmentExisting network in key markets is a plus
