All of the welding uses aluminum materials, but some of the aluminum is anodized. The welding areas are set up where each welder is working on a different part of the fabrication process.Key ResponsibilitiesAdheres to all safety policies and proceduresFollows all pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of workReads order-specific job travelers and/or engineered drawings to ensure each order is produced to specificationsUses welders and various hand tools to fabricate pontoon tubes, wall frames, and/or furniture framesCompletes all job duties within given time constraintsPerforms other duties as assignedCross-trains between several different jobsCleans and maintains work areaPursues continuous improvement to improve efficiency of job duties and work flowQualificationsJob Requirements:High school diploma or GEDPrevious welding experienceAttention to detailExcellent problem solving skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsNeeds good visual judgment to notice errors and/or defectsAbility to accurately read a tape measureAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to work in a fast paced, multifunctional team oriented work environmentAbility to work variable hours with short notice (up to 50+ hrs. per week)Physical Requirements and Environment:Must be physically capable of safely lifting a minimum of 60 lbs. without assistance, pushing/pulling 150-300 lb. items with the use of hand trucks or pallet jacks some items are large and/or awkwardInvolves standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and climbing ladders for long periods as requiredRequires repetitive movementIncludes and noise levels that are distracting and/or uncomfortableRequires wearing personal protective equipmentInvolves extensive walking and exposure to all weather conditionsRequires ability to hear and respond to radio communicationsRequires visual acuity for accurately receiving parts
