Financial Reporting Specialist - Team Lead

Position: Financial Operations Lead Department: Finance Functional Area: Finance Classification : Exempt Reporting Structure: Head of Finance Educational Background Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in operational finance, plant/corporate accounting, and leadership of accounting teams. Demonstrated SAP proficiency and advanced Excel skills. Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, or multi‑site environments strongly preferred. Skills and Training Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. High attention to detail and organizational discipline; strong control mindset. Basic Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, with required experience in SAP, and advanced proficiency in Excel. Essential Functions Required for Job Lead day‑to‑day financial operations ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across A/P, A/R, GL, fixed assets, and inventory. Own month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close; prepare, submit, and present financial statements and KPI dashboards to senior/global leadership. Coordinate annual budget, monthly rolling forecasts, and long‑range planning; develop growth projections and scenario analysis. Establish, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies; ensure audit readiness and corporate compliance. Manage cash forecasting, liquidity, and working capital; support banking relationships as needed. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, reporting, and systems (SAP). Supervise and develop accounting staff and financial assistants; provide coaching and performance feedback. Interaction Required: Within the company and Externally All Internal Departments, Plant/Operations Leadership, Supply Chain, and Executive Management. External Auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and regulatory authorities. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Primarily office‑based with regular interaction with production facilities as needed. Standard physical requirements for office work (e.g., sitting, typing, screen use); additional hours during close and budget cycles. Page Break Strategic Competencies: Record-to-Report (R2R): Lead close processes; maintain general ledger integrity and reconciliations; deliver accurate, timely financial reporting; partner with Controlling on budgeting/forecasting. Systems & Reporting: Act as ERP (SAP) key user; enhance reporting, standardize procedures, and enable scalable processes across sites. Audit & Controls: Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations; prepare schedules and documentation for external audits. Strategic Projects & Leadership: Lead or support finance-related projects, including ERP enhancements, process automation, and policy updates. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
