HiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician in Moultrie, GA!Salary: $32 - $35/hourShift: Full-TimeLocation: Moultrie, GABenefits: Full benefits package, paid training, 401(k), PTOPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment / Diesel Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on construction and earthmoving machinery. This position supports both field and shop operations and is ideal for a technician who enjoys solving complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues while working independently. You will be responsible for repair planning, parts identification, technical documentation, and high-quality workmanship.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair heavy construction equipment and component systemsDevelop repair plans including sequence of work, required tooling, and partsPerform repairs safely and efficiently and complete quality assurance testingRetrieve, order, and return parts using internal systemsUse and maintain service trucks, fuel cards, special tooling, and shop equipmentComplete all required service reports accurately and on timeCommunicate repair status and updates to leadershipMaintain a clean, safe work area and proper tool organizationFollow all company procedures and safety guidelinesSupport additional tasks and assignments as neededRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology OR 4 years of apprenticeship experienceStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skillsMust be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, climb, crawl, and lift as requiredAbility to work in varying conditions including heat, cold, outdoors, and around moving equipmentStrong communication, organization, and documentation skillsValid driver's license with clean driving recordTechnician classification determined by experience and competencyPhysical & Work EnvironmentFrequent exposure to humidity, outdoor weather, mechanical equipment, and loud environmentsOccasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, and vibrationMust be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and using hand tools
