Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines to support data analytics processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Assemble large datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Skills
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Apache Hive and AWS.
- Ability to analyze large datasets using tools like VBA and Talend.
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop.
- Knowledge of ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or Java for data manipulation.
- Strong problem-solving skills to "smash" complex data challenges.
