Electrical Distribution System EngineerLocation : Novi, MichiganType: Fulltime roleJob Description & Skill Requirement:• Electrical Wire Harness person needed with a Mechanical Engineering degree• ~5 yrs of experience, +/- a bit• Staffing need,• Hybrid position, currently 3 days onsite in Novi, MI, 2 days remote WFH. Subject to change.• He really needs a wire harness components person, someone who knows plastics, material touch, living hinge, tooling, rubbers, connectors, etc.• This is a technical / project engineering roleo It is a bit more hardware and process tracking than actual designingo Not doing the core design work, but needs to be able to review the work, relay from the supplier back to Scout, talk the talk, understand barriers and recommend solutions, and push open actions and approvals to closure to hit turnaround times• Mike's group works with both high and low voltage wiring, with ~250 wire harnesses owned.• Mike's team is small, with low bandwidth. They rely on suppliers to do the work, and this role will need to do significant supplier interfacing.• Mike wants to see ~ 5 examples of project experience doing previous design work to show they know the process• Must know CATIA and be generally '3D-capable', & know basic GD&To Will need to open up models and review at times, even if not doing the core design work• Familiarity with CAD 'connect' software modules is preferredo CATIA Electrical Harness / 3DEXPERIENCE would worko Siemens Capital & NX have connect moduleso Zuken E3.series and E. Harness would worko Solidworks Electrical / 3D would work
