Requisition #:212155Location:Melbourne, FL 32934Category:PTSalary:Starting at $50.00 per hourPosition DetailsPosition OverviewThe Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for planning, conducting, and implementing physical therapy treatment programs in alignment with medical referrals and evaluations. This role focuses on restoring and maintaining patients' overall well-being while strictly adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.Essential Job Functions* Deliver high-quality physical therapy services in compliance with prescribed physician orders.* Follow all company policies, procedures, patient care standards, licensure regulations, and state laws.* Provide written evaluations outlining therapy needs, goals, progress, and expected outcomes in coordination with the physician's Plan of Treatment.* Actively collaborate with healthcare teams, physicians, parents/guardians, and nurses in coordinating services and discharge planning.* Maintain clear, effective communication with staff, healthcare partners, and families.* Serve as a clinical resource and consultant for team members.* Supervise other personnel (PTA, HHA) as appropriate.* Complete OASIS assessments where permitted by state professional practice and regulation.Requirements* Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program.* Current, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.* Current CPR certification.* Proven proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with policies and procedures.Additional State Requirements* Completion of Continuing Education as required by state regulations.Preferred Experience* One (1) year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.* Pediatric experience strongly preferred.Schedule:* PRN Position - Monday - friday* Daytime only: No nights and no weekendsCore Skills & Abilities* Strong attention to detail and time management skills.* Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.* Excellent organizational and communication skills.️ Physical Requirements* Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.* Ability to travel as needed.* Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.* Must have visual and hearing acuity, as well as a strong sense of smell and touch.* Able to reposition patients and move equipment safely without assistance.* Must be able to respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport.Work Environment* Must be able to function in various healthcare environments, which may include exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.️ Other DutiesThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee.
