HRSG Field Engineer Start Date: ASAP Project Duration: Approximately 8 months Working Hours: 60 hours (Monday–Saturday), with potential to increase to 72 hours depending on project needs Job Description Summary Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced HRSG Field Engineer to support HRSG installation and commissioning activities on a power plant project in PA. The role is responsible for the execution of HRSG installation and commissioning works within the assigned discipline, ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements. Roles and ResponsibilitiesSupervise positioning of templates and embedded pieces prior to concrete pourReview heavy lift plans for HRSG modules and drumsSupervise assembly of main and secondary steel structures, including access platformsSupervise installation of HRSG casing panels and field-insulated joints to prevent hot spotsSupervise installation of HRSG modules and drumsSupervise HRSG piping installation, including valve and instrument positioning, welding, NDT, heat treatment, hydro testing, and preservationPrepare hydro test plans and supervise executionPrepare and supervise piping flushing, chemical cleaning, and air or steam blows to meet cleanliness requirementsSupervise safety valve hydro plug removalPerform final HRSG audits prior to gas turbine first fireSupervise piping thermal insulation worksSupervise paint application activitiesProvide technical recommendations on installation techniques, tools, and resource requirementsInterface with the HRSG vendor’s engineering officeParticipate in site coordination meetings and schedule/progress reviewsEnsure full compliance with site-specific rules, safety regulations, and environmental protection measuresEnsure subcontractors comply with site EHS requirements within the discipline scopeDocument non-conformities, maintain logs, and track cost of non-qualityIssue regular progress reports to Site ManagementRequired QualificationsSignificant technical knowledge of HRSG systemsStrong technical understanding of gas-fired power plants and associated equipmentMinimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the power industryExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishDesired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership abilitiesProven problem-solving and analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to lead projects and teamsAbility to document, plan, and execute complex programs
