Clinical Research Assistant - Tyler, TX

Job Title: Clinical Research Assistant, TXJob DescriptionThis role involves active participation in recruitment and pre-screening events, often at various locations, to identify potential participants for clinical research. The position requires engaging with potential participants by reviewing medical records, conducting phone screenings, and obtaining informed consent. You will be responsible for scheduling participant visits, collecting and processing specimens, and ensuring data accuracy in compliance with FDA regulations and ICH guidelines. Administrative support, inventory management, and maintaining effective relationships with study participants and research personnel are also key aspects of this role.Responsibilities+ Participate in recruitment and pre-screening events.+ Assist with preparation of outreach materials and recruitment of new participants.+ Conduct phone screenings and request medical records of research participants.+ Schedule visits and contact participants with reminders.+ Obtain informed consent per SOP, under the direction of the CRC.+ Complete visit procedures as required by protocol.+ Collect, process, and ship specimens as directed by protocol.+ Record data legibly and enter in real-time on paper or e-source documents.+ Request study participant payments and update internal trackers.+ Assist with query resolution and administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, filing, and mailing.+ Maintain all site logs and manage inventory and ordering of equipment and supplies.+ Ensure adherence to FDA regulations and ICH guidelines.+ Foster effective relationships with study participants, research personnel, and sponsor representatives.+ Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.+ Perform other duties as assigned, representative of the nature and level of work.Required Skills & Experience+ A minimum of 1-year recent working experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, Clinical Research Assistant, or Phlebotomist.+ Phlebotomy experience is required.+ Strong communication skills and professionalism.+ Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.+ A working knowledge of medical and research terminology.+ Understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).+ Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in an on-site clinic environment, requiring interaction with patients, sponsor representatives, and team members in a professional setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Tyler, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
