Job description US Citizen Only – Virginia Resident preferred We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our Unmanned Aerial Systems Division. https://zenithaerotech.com Core Responsibilities · Develop and/or modify GUI for UAV’s. · Develop and implement control routines for various payloads · Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping and implementation. · Implement software solutions based on customer requirements. · Develop maintainable code based on functional and technical requirements. · Write applications to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary. Job Requirements & Skills BS degree in a related field (Computer Science, Software Engineer, Embedded Systems, etc.) or a proven track record. · Excellent understanding of coding standards and best practices. · Comprehensive knowledge of C, C++, Python · Ability to amalgamate and integrate various sensors using low level drivers · Understanding of real-time programming with an RTOS like FreeRTOS · Experience base beyond basic micro-controllers (Not just Arduino) · Beyond basic knowledge of general electronics, circuits, power electronics safety, etc · Knowledge of low-level inter-component communication such as sockets, uart, i2c, etc · Ability to thoroughly document any development work · Able to collaborate and share development work with others · General knowledge of computer vision and contemporary machine learning capabilities · Work independently with minimal supervision · Familiarity with and able to setup basic secure network structures Preferred Skills, Experience · Ability to read and contribute to Javascript, Graphical libraries such as Qt (QML) · Experience with drones · Familiarity with Mavlink protocol · Experience working with single board computers like Nvidia Jetson · Familiarity of common databases and data structures like postgres and redis · Experience using a hypervisor like Proxmox · Knowledge of a web framework like Django · Ability to research and accommodate for code/security vulnerabilities · Experience with UAV systems like Mission Planner, QGroundControl, MavSDK, etc. · Knowledge of low level networking protocols such as websockets and JSON Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $40,189.68 - $80,033.59 per year Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Overtime Work Location: In person
