Yellowstone-West/Carbon County Special Services Cooperative is located in South Central Montana from Billings to Red Lodge.Position: Speech-Language PathologistQualifications:Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & DisordersEligible for CCC and Licensure in the state of MontanaClinical fellows and licensed SLP Aides are welcome to applyFull and part-time positions are availableReports to: Director, Yellowstone-West/Carbon County Special Services CooperativeJob Goal: The Speech-Language Pathologist provides identification, assessment, therapeutic and consultative services for children with speech-language disabilities within the Yellowstone-West/Carbon County Special Services Cooperative member schools in the Billings, MT area.Essential Job Duties:Implement the delivery of service to individuals with speech-language disabilities within designated populations.Accurately identify those individuals who exhibit communication disorders within specified populations through standardized procedures, according to state and federally mandated criteria.Collaborate with special education teachers to develop communication goals and provide progress monitoring of those goals.Determine, through assessment and diagnostic procedures, the nature, etiology, and severity of the specific disabilities of those individuals with communication disorders.Plan appropriate treatment/intervention for individuals diagnosed as having communication disorders and will arrange for the implementation of the program within specified service delivery populations.Coordinate therapy with the classroom and home.Maintain all records of individuals being served according to Cooperative, state and federal standards.Maintain a high level of confidentiality.Provide Medicaid billing information and appropriate therapy documentation in a timely manner for qualified students.Maintain and update an inventory of all materials being used.Attend all Evaluation Report Team meetings and Individual Education Program meetings for students referred to or receiving speech-language services.Assist schools in accessing and using AAC devices and amplification devices (i.e. FM systems).Communicate on an ongoing basis information about the progress of students on his/her caseload with general and special education teachers and parents.Provide Cooperative with a schedule and inform Cooperative of any deviation from the schedule.Maintain a courteous and supportive working relationship with co-workers, students and parents to avoid negatively impacting the efficiency of the District and Cooperative operations and staff morale.Screen hearing and refer students as needed to affiliated audiologist(s) for follow up evaluation.Attend and participates in relevant in-service training sessions.Any other such services as may be deemed appropriate by the Director.
