Crandall Corporation is currently looking to hire a CDL Class A Driver. Responsibilities: Driving: Operate vehicles in a safe manner without violations. Inspect equipment daily for maintenance and wear, including pre and post-trip inspections. Notify the supervisor of any repairs or maintenance required. Complete all required paperwork, including DOT logs, pre/post trip inspections, etc. Constant communication with the spotter when backing or in tight maneuver situations. Report all incidents immediately to the supervisor. Hazmat and/or tanker or doubles are a plus. Service: Load used equipment at various customer locations. Unload used tires at Crandall or other specified locations, including tire processors. Transport materials in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Manage materials according to federal/state regulations. Paperwork/Administrative: Interact with customers regarding services rendered and issues as they arise. Interact with customers in a respectful and friendly manner. Complete bills of lading and manifests. Complete DOT logs. Complete company paperwork including service orders, worksheets, time and mileage logs on Daily Time Log form, etc. Maintain paperwork thoroughly and accurately. Communicate with dispatch regarding services. Communicate with the supervisor regarding customer issues. Carry a company-provided cell phone at all times while on duty. Operations: Work with operations regarding loading/unloading service vehicles. Assist operations as needed and as requested. Occasionally work in operations performing other tasks. Required education: High school or equivalent. Required experience: CDL Class A: 1 year. Required license or certification: CDL Class A.
