Stepdown RN - Newport, NC

Provide critical care during the night shift in a Stepdown unit, delivering expert nursing services to patients requiring close observation and specialized care. This 13-week contract assignment offers the opportunity to apply your PCU/Stepdown experience in a dynamic healthcare setting utilizing the Meditech EMR system.Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, administering medications, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing compassionate care within the scope of Stepdown nursing. The position requires a strong ability to float as needed, maintaining flexibility while ensuring high standards of patient safety and comfort.Key Qualifications and Experience:Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of PCU/Stepdown unit experienceBLS and ACLS certifications requiredProficient in Meditech EMR preferredAbility to work night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (3 twelve-hour shifts per week)Willingness to work every third weekendNo call responsibilities, but floating within the unit as neededLocation Information: Newport, NC, offers a charming coastal environment with close proximity to beautiful beaches and outdoor recreational activities.
