Pupil Services Team Member (K-5)

DescriptionWe are seeking a collaborative, student-centered Pupil Services team member to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students in grades kindergarten through fifth. This position plays a key role in fostering a positive school climate and providing responsive support to students through both proactive and in-the-moment interventions.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success across settingsProvide responsive, "in-the-moment" support to help students regulate emotions and de-escalate behavior during the school dayDeliver short-term, solution-focused individual and small group counseling servicesFacilitate social skills groups, friendship groups, and targeted interventions to build students' interpersonal and self-regulation skillsServe as an active member of the school's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) team, including assisting in designing and implementing behavior interventions aligned with PBIS frameworksCo-plan and co-teach Tier 1 social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons in collaboration with the Life Skills teacherUse data to identify student needs, monitor progress, and adjust interventions accordinglyBuild strong, supportive relationships with students and familiesMaintain appropriate documentation and adhere to ethical and confidentiality standardsQualifications:1. Pupil Services Credential required2. School Counselor licensure, School Social Worker licensure or School Psychologist licensure that meets the standards of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for this position3. Strong interpersonal skills4. Ability to provide supportive services for struggling students in the areas of social emotional learning5. Ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of students and the organization6. Willingness and ability to lead universal, selected and targeted approaches of student supports and programming
