Senior Systems EngineerOur client is a leading provider of blockchain intelligence solutions that deliver technology, training, and services to law enforcement, defense, intelligence, and regulatory agencies across the U.S. Government.As a Systems Engineer supporting the US Intelligence Community, you'll work closely with the technical stakeholders and customers who use our client's software products daily as part of their mission protecting national security. You'll manage, maintain, and optimize a system supporting our applications inside of multiple classified environments. You'll establish and maintain strong working relationships across the customer, the CGS Sales and Solution Architecture teams, and our engineering and product teams. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of our customers' mission, an ownership mindset, strong technical aptitude, and intellectual curiosity to learn about the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem.Note: This role requires you to be physically on-site with the customer in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area (WMA) up to five days a week.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and server hardware on-site for intelligence community customersLead IT projects in support of our client's on-premise software applications, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementationsProvide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure timely resolution of IT requestsDevelop and manage backup strategies, perform regular backups, and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery capabilitiesMonitor system performance and identify issues while optimizing systems for efficiency and reliabilityEnsure systems and networks comply with organizational policies and industry standardsMaintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and network diagramsProvision and configure IaaS technology components from C2SWork and collaborate with the application development team to ensure coordinated deployment of code updates to the production systemCommunicate with customer system owners and end users to schedule system maintenanceConfigure and test network communications with 3rd party systems owners to enable data transfer and collectionActively learn the environment in which the software solution will operate in order to articulate risks and constraintsQualificationsTS/SCI Clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph3-4 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) fundamentals for EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, S3, and EBSWorking knowledge of web services configuration and administration using Apache, WSGI, and PostgreSQLAWS Certification - SysOps or DevOpsStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and network monitoring toolsExperience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-virus, and endpoint protectionFamiliarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVMExperience performing system admin duties in the C2S/AWS environmentSolid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities and experience hardening Linux and Windows systems in accordance with RMF and STIGsExperience with Linux and Windows-based procedures and scripting such as PL/SQL, UNIX – common shell scripting (k, c, bash, etc.)Python Scripting experienceKnowledge of Linux, Windows, and WebLogic serversKnowledge of enterprise level VMware productsKnowledge of API Services (DPaaS), OpenShift4, CI/CD, Oracle Fusion Middleware, WebLogic 12CSeniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionIT System Custom Software DevelopmentSoftware DevelopmentGovernment Relations ServicesJ-18808-Ljbffr
