Maintenance Specialist

Job Description Job Summary:The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems. This role ensures that all facility maintenance and on-site machinery are functioning properly and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position reports to the Operations Manager.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneDuties/Responsibilities:· Perform routine facility maintenance tasks, including inspecting, programming, and repairing machinery.· Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment.· Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues promptly.· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.· Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment.· Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.· Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improvements.· Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities:· Technical proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLC), general facility maintenance, and repair tasks.· In depth knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics of machines.· Good understanding of machine learning and IOT for machines.· Strong experience in implementing low-cost automation projects.· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.· Ability to use various hand and power tools.· Strong communication and teamwork skills.· Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed. Education and Experience:· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or related field preferred.· 3-5 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
