JOB SUMMARY: The Plant Manager is responsible for translating and implementing operating strategies to ensure that all plant operations meet or exceed organizational goals and objectives.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES): Build, lead and manage a plant management teamEnsure that the facility and personnel are operating in compliance with all applicable state, federal and local regulations Lead/support new process planning, design, build, start-up and operation Implement and manage change within the facility Serve as a strategic partner with corporate management and provide input on long- and short [1] term staffing levels, plant improvements, design and layout, and capital purchases Conduct financial planning and budgeting activities as required or requested Create purchase requisitions and approve purchase orders up to level of authority Promote LEAN manufacturing principles Conduct management review of quality systems, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement actions Establish lead times for customer orders and on-time delivery performance goalsActively participate in problem-solving activities with customers, suppliers and partners Advance superior performance across all production-related key performance indicators Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programsPerform the job functions of Senior Virtual Factory Manager and/or Virtual Factory Manager as neededExercise the authority to stop (shutdown) any manufacturing process/facility machinery that has the potential to threaten employee safety, create an environmental/regulatory hazard or jeopardize product quality Perform other duties or special projects as assignedREQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in engineering preferred; 6 years related work experience in manufacturing management required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredGood oral and written communication skills Experience in leadership and management roles Project management experience Experience with conflict management Demonstrated ability to manage change Strong interpersonal skills Working knowledge of business financial statements Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilitiesSHIFT/LOCATION:Monday-Friday/ 8:00am-5:00pm/ 80 Scott St, Elk Grove Village, ILWAGE DISCLOSURE:The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position.
