QualificationsQualificationsUndergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.At least 10yrs of heavy civil construction experience in the New York metro area.Experience estimating and developing bids for large heavy civil projects including but not limited to bridges, transit, railways, and other types of heavy civil infrastructure.New York City Metro area and/or Northeast urban environment experience.Experience with alternative delivery contracts including but not limited to CMAR, Design-Build, CMGC, Progressive Design-Build, P3, etc.Experience collaborating with owners, subcontractors, and other project team members to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibilityPrevious field operations experience.Strong organizational and time management skills.Safety oriented, 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates are preferred.Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.Ability to function as a team-builder/player. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesWork with the project and estimating team to lead the development of costs estimates and proposals for large complex heavy civil projects.Reviewing, analyzing and interpreting Contract Documents (specifications, drawings, and reference information) to develop detailed, comprehensive cost estimates for heavy civil construction projectsReview accuracy of quantity takeoffs and material pricing.Preparing value engineering solutions; including cost, schedule, and Owner benefits.Preparing responses to Request for Qualifications (RFQ's) and Request for Proposals (RFP's).Work with the accounting and equipment departments to determine labor and equipment costs.Develop scopes of work and project schedules.Work with the marketing team to prepare proposals and technical documents.Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled, E-Verify Employer
