Director Environmental Strategy

CNX Resources Corporation is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Environmental Strategy to provide technical and project management leadership across multiple critical environmental and ESG initiatives for the Environmental Strategy Department. This role is responsible for project management and oversight of the Company’s key strategic projects, including Radical Transparency, the Environmental Management System (EMS), and other regulatory and compliance related programs. The Director will serve as a trusted advisor to operations management and QHSE teams, guiding regulatory interpretation, compliance strategy, and implementation of environmental initiatives aligned with CNX’s long term vision. Target Responsibilities: Provide project management leadership for CNX’s strategic environmental projects, including Radical Transparency, EMS development and implementation, and other compliance related initiatives. Advise operations management and QHSE personnel on emerging regulatory requirements, compliance matters, and environmental policy developments. Support the execution of CNX’s environmental and broader ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Develop and communicate project plans, progress updates, and technical findings through clear, concise written and verbal communication. Engage in industry trade associations and collaborative efforts to support CNX’s advocacy objectives and remain informed of industry trends. Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure environmental projects meet technical, regulatory, and strategic goals. Identify emerging environmental risks and opportunities, recommending proactive strategies for compliance and operational excellence. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, biology, or other science related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the natural gas industry. Demonstrated project management experience, with ability to lead complex, multi disciplinary initiatives. Strong understanding of environmental regulatory processes and policy development. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to various audiences.
