We are seeking an experienced Telecom Construction Supervisor with a strong background in fiber splicing and telecommunications construction. This dual-role position will oversee field construction activities while also supporting and managing fiber splicing operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.Responsibilities include:Developing your team's skill set and knowledge of telecom construction (Aerial and underground)Leading by example and supporting the company-wide safety cultureDriving your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projectsProviding a high level of customer service when interfacing with customersGiving direction to multiple crews and their job site activitiesSupervising daily telecom construction activities, including underground and aerial fiber installationOverseeing and supporting fiber splicing operations, including troubleshooting and quality controlCoordinating crews, subcontractors, and materials to meet project timelinesEnsuring compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and customer specificationsReviewing and tracking production, including splicing progress and restoration timelinesConducting field inspections and audits to ensure quality workmanshipManaging and communicating updates on project status, delays, and risksAssisting with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for construction and splicing teamsSupporting emergency restoration efforts and helping meet required TTR (Time to Restore) goalsQualifications include:Safety is a part of your day-to-dayA track record of completing work with a high level of qualityA knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoying a hands-on approach to your workLooking for long-term projectsEnjoying getting your hands dirty with your teamAn experienced leader who supported the day-to-day needs of a construction crewKnowledge of the telecom construction industry (Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.)Enjoying problem-solving and troubleshooting problems as they arise in the fieldEmbracing the challenge of coaching and mentoring your teamA working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom softwareA valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the market5+ years of experience in telecommunications construction2+ years of experience in fiber splicing (Fusion splicing is preferred)Strong understanding of fiber networks, including FTTH, backbone, and distribution systemsExperience managing field crews and subcontractorsAbility to read and interpret construction prints and splice schematicsKnowledge of safety standards and best practices in telecom constructionStrong communication and leadership skillsExperience with large-scale fiber deployments (FTTH or similar)Familiarity with OTDR testing, light level testing, and troubleshootingPrevious experience working with service providers (e.g., Frontier, AT&T, etc.)Hard work pays off.
