Lead CNC Maintenance Tech
Job DescriptionSuccessful CNC job shop is looking to hire a Lead CNC Maintenance Technician to machine maintenance and general building maintenance in accordance with company policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include maintaining uninterrupted production in the facility, installing new equipment and handling building and environmental concerns regarding the plant and the property as a whole. This includes overseeing outside contractors when needed and working closely with management to develop a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) System that is sustainable and auditable. This is a hands-on position. Most repairs and planning are done in house. Ability to make repairs on CNC Equipment and other machinery at a very high level are an expectation.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEAD CNC MAINTENANCE TECH:• Performs a wide variety of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, heating system, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating issues.• Repair and maintain plant equipment and machinery.• Troubleshooting & Preventative Maintenance with CNC lathes and machining centers.• Administers maintenance engineering functions and operations to maintain the physical structures, machinery, utilities, facilities and property and arrangement of production machines and equipment.• Utilizes computerized maintenance management system for tracking maintenance work orders. (MWO)• Responsible for the cleaning and making repairs to building and/or property.• General shop and office housekeeping.• Performs maintenance in office and shop, to include doors, closures, desks, files, etc.• Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.• Requires both indoor and outdoor work.• Environmental, health and safety compliance at all times.• Assures useful life of equipment surpasses expectations.• Assists in maintaining appropriate spare parts inventories.• All other duties as directedRequirements• Requires four years of high school and seven to ten years of related experience with CNC equipment and / or a combination of education and experience.• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.• Superb safety record and safety program awareness.• Ability to prepare purchase requisitions.• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and other employees of the organization.• Experience troubleshooting and correcting electrical or mechanical problems, maintaining inventory levels.
