Tableau Developer

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer with 6–8+ years of experience in data visualization, dashboard development, and analytics reporting. This role will support Engineering Excellence initiatives by delivering high-quality, actionable dashboards and enabling data-driven decision-making across business and engineering teams.Mandatory Notes: Should be more of DB guy (analytics knowledge)but that tech person should be able to understand analytics and reporting db etc.Skill - Required ExperienceTableau Development (Tableau Desktop, Server, Prep) 6–8+ YearsData Visualization & Dashboard Development 6–8+ YearsSQL Development & Data Manipulation 5+ YearsEnterprise Analytics & Reporting Solutions 5+ YearsData Warehousing & ETL Concepts 3+ YearsKPI, Metrics & Performance Dashboard Development 3+ YearsStakeholder Requirement Gathering & Business Analysis 3+ YearsKey Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective data visualizations.• Support Engineering Excellence initiatives through analytics and performance reporting.• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across dashboards and reports.• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.• Implement best practices for dashboard design, usability, scalability, and performance.• Create and manage data models, extracts, and performance optimization strategies.• Provide actionable insights through data analysis and visualization.• Partner with Engineering, PMO, and Business teams to deliver reporting solutions.• Automate recurring reports and manage scheduled reporting cycles.Required Skills & Qualifications• 6–8+ years of experience in Tableau development and data visualization.• Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.• Advanced SQL development and data manipulation skills.• Experience building enterprise-scale dashboards and analytics solutions.• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Qualifications• Prior experience with Elevance Health or within the Healthcare domain.• Experience with Power BI, Python, or R.• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.• Experience developing engineering metrics, KPI dashboards, and performance reports.Soft Skills• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
