Human Resources Generalist

North Idaho Eye Institute is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join the team! This position is responsible for overseeing various HR functions within our organization, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS management, credentialing, and compliance with healthcare industry regulations. Based out of the Hayden location, the Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting employees at all three locations, ensuring that our organization maintains a positive and productive work environment. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, and three years of experience, or five years minimum HR experience HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Proven experience working as an HR Generalist, preferably in the healthcare or medical industry. Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations, including employment law and healthcare compliance requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and handle sensitive situations with tact and confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Proficiency in HRIS systems (experience with UKG Ready a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection. Coordinate and conduct orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, universities, and other sources for talent acquisition. Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and resolution as needed. Conduct investigations into employee complaints or conflicts and recommend appropriate actions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Promote a positive and inclusive work culture through engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee feedback mechanisms. Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Educate employees about available benefits, enrollment processes, and any changes or updates to the programs. Collaborate with benefits providers and insurers to resolve issues and optimize plan offerings. HR Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations applicable to the healthcare industry, ensuring compliance in all HR practices. Prepare and file necessary reports, such as EEO-1, OSHA logs, and other regulatory filings. Conduct periodic audits of HR processes and records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Performance Management: Support the performance management process by assisting managers in setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback to employees. Identify training and development needs and coordinate relevant programs or resources to support employee growth and career advancement. HRIS Management Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the HRIS to streamline HR Processes and data management. Ensure data accuracy and integrity withing the HRIS, including employee records, organizational charts, and reporting functionalities. Provide training and support to all management, staff, and end-users on HRIS functionality and best practices. Credentialing Collect, organize, and maintain accurate records of licenses, certifications, and CME documentation with external credentialing partner to ensure all provider credentials remain current and compliant.
