Inspector - Packing
DescriptionEssential Duties and TasksTo perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations must be made, upon request to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Safely Operate equipment as needed including but not limited to packaging, wrapping machinery, label equipment, label equipment, banders, gluer, etal.Accurately read and follow instructions.Inspect material to ensure quality to ensure customer specifications have been met.Package outgoing materials to meet customer specifications and internal protocols.Move material within facility according to protocol, may include stacking, weighing, transporting and arranging.Keep work and surrounding areas organized by meeting GMP and SQF practices.Verification and tracking of all materials moved including quantity, size, and packaging.Complete all necessary documents for internal or external useWorks with supervisionMaybe required to work in multiple areas or with multiple teamsAll other duties as assignedQualifications, Education, And ExperienceSkilled LaborThis position has no leadership dutiesExceptional attendance, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.Prior equipment, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferredAbility to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and work ordersAbility to communicate verbally and in writingAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measureWork EnvironmentWork in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Hearing protection, safety shoes, eye protection, hair and beard nets required.Employee is exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
