Development & Program Associate
*Who We Are*
Justice Connection is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization – founded and led by Department of Justice alumni. We strive to protect the integrity of DOJ's mission and support its employees, who are under attack. We connect DOJ's workforce with legal, mental health, media and employment assistance, while also engaging in public education efforts and legislative advocacy. Our mission is to preserve the rule of law by ensuring that those who enforce it are themselves protected.
*About the Role*
The Development & Program Associate is a multi-functional role at the center of our small but fast-moving team. You will help bring in the resources that sustain our work, serve as a first point of contact for parts of the community we support, and keep our team organized and focused.

You are organized, discreet, and reliable. You communicate warmly and professionally. You anticipate needs before they are voiced, keep track of a hundred small details, and are excited by being the person who makes everyone around you more effective. You are comfortable wearing multiple hats at all times, and you bring good judgment to sensitive information. Ideally, you have a connection to the Department of Justice or its broader community.
*Responsibilities*

- Keep Justice Connection's support networks current and reliable, and help us deliver on the programs that support the entire DOJ community.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Executive Director, managing their time, inbox, and priorities so their focus stays on the organization's highest-impact work.
*Qualifications*
- 1-4 years of professional experience in nonprofit or government operations, development, program support, executive or administrative support, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong judgment and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with care.
- Comfort with technology; experience with CRM or database tools (e.g., Salesforce) and calendar and email management is a plus.
