Senior Systems Engineer
Overview
In this Senior Systems Engineer role, you will manage and optimize enterprise Windows and Linux servers, VMware virtualization, and Dell hardware across on-premises and Azure environments to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and efficient patching and automation. This position offers hands-on impact shaping hybrid cloud operations and enterprise IT reliability. You will work with modern tooling to automate provisioning and maintenance at scale.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux OSAdminister Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP, file services, and enterprise authenticationProvision, upgrade, migrate, and lifecycle-manage serversMonitor performance, availability, and capacity; plan capacity and DR measuresAdminister VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter; manage VMs, clusters, HA/DRS/vMotionManage Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME)Plan and execute enterprise patching using WSUS, MECM/SCCM, Azure Update Manager, AutomoxDevelop standardized patching methodologies and maintenance proceduresAdminister Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity; support Azure VMs and AVD
Key requirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience3-5+ years of enterprise systems administration in Windows and Linux environmentsStrong VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter administrationExperience with Dell PowerEdge and OpenManage EnterpriseExperience with enterprise patch management tools/methodologiesAdvanced PowerShell scripting and automation skillsExperience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Azure services (VMs, AVD)Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancingAnalytical thinkingTroubleshootingDocumentationVMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenterDell PowerEdge servers and Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME)WSUS, MECM/SCCM, Azure Update Manager, Automox
