BIM Architect
BIM Architect & Design Technology Specialist | New York, NYMost BIM roles ask you to maintain standards. This one asks you to build them and then push further.I've worked with this team before, and I'll be direct with you: they take design technology seriously. Not as a support function, but as a genuine pillar of how they deliver work. If you're a BIM specialist who wants a seat at that table, this is worth your time.About the roleYou'll sit at the intersection of architectural practice and digital innovation within an established, well-regarded New York design studio. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands both sides, the rigour of coordinating live Revit models across a project team, and the creative ambition of asking what those tools could do better. You'll own the firm's BIM standards and Revit environment end-to-end: templates, libraries, the BIM Wiki, ACC setup, and execution planning. You'll run internal training sessions, onboard new hires into the digital ecosystem, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with a Director of Design Technology who actively champions innovation. Crucially, there's genuine scope to prototype AI-assisted workflows, not as a future priority, but as something being explored right now. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a checkbox. It's for someone who finds the intersection of architecture and technology genuinely exciting, and wants to shape how a studio works from the inside. The profile we're looking forYou'll have 3–5 years of advanced Revit experience, documentation, modelling, coordination, the full picture. You're deeply comfortable in Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 and know how to set up and manage projects from the ground up. Dynamo is a real strength; pyRevit experience puts you ahead of the field.Beyond the technical, you communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and can run a training session without it feeling like a lecture. You're curious about where design technology is going, AI tools, generative workflows, automation and you want to be part of figuring that out rather than watching from the sidelines.A Bachelor's in Architecture or equivalent BIM management experience is the baseline. What's on offerA collaborative studio, a forward-thinking design technology team, and a role with genuine ownership. Salary is commensurate with experience, market rate for this profile in New York sits between $90,000–$110,000.Interested, or know someone who should be?📩 Charlotte@vertopeople.com | 📞 +1 516 460 9733
