Overview If you are looking for a unique opportunity with a diverse roll within an established year-round marine manufacturing and construction company then we have an opening for you. We are seeking to fill the role of project estimator to work closely with our sales, production and service teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-orientated, mechanical and enthusiastic to learn our product line. The role includes material, labor and equipment costing for custom, commercial and stock projects, bid research and the ability to accurately interpret project drawings. With the right candidate we are willing to teach and train as you learn the product offerings within the Marine industry. Roles & Responsibilities: Work with our sales and manufacturing team(s) to understand our established design means and methods and how those are applied to our diverse product line. Our dock systems, stairs, hillside trolleys, boat lifts, paddle products, and accessories are typically manufactured using hot dipped galvanized steel materials, marine-grade aluminum shapes and finished with typical common decking materials and fasteners. Learn how these materials are incorporated into our products for estimating purposes. Prepare custom and commercial estimates within established costing sheets and proposal formats. Prepare stock estimates and work orders within OrderTime software. Commercial bid research and opportunity to present to the sales team for estimating and bidding. Assist the sales team with the permitting process for multiple State, Federal and Town agencies throughout the Northeast. Qualifications Strong ability to learn and retain information as it is reviewed during daily project meetings. Knowledge and experience with steel, aluminum, construction materials and equipment. Proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel and Word documents / Files and the ability to learn OrderTime which functions as our operations software. Experience working within a small business team structure with the ability and desire to “wear different hats” throughout the different calendar cycle of our year-round marine manufacturing and construction business. Valid Drivers License with the ability to meet typical insurance standards. Knowledge of local lakes, boats and outdoor marine recreation is a plus but not required Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
