Project Manager
Job Summary:ADOA-ASET develops and executes the statewide IT strategy for Arizona state government and provides ITinfrastructure and services to state agencies to ensure continuity of mission critical and essential systems. ASET ismanaged by Arizona's State CIO and serves as an information technology leader for AZ government. ASET'sEnterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) provides project management services that align to Arizona'sStrategic IT Plan. ASET's EPMO is looking for someone who is passionate, highly skilled, committed to successfulproject execution and superior customer service to join our team. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as itrelates to improving project delivery. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within thespecified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business caseJob Duties:• Manage multiple complex and high visibility enterprise projects• Serves as project champion embracing and articulating project goals, objectives and outcomes for projectssuch as cloud technologies, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, digitization, enterprise-wideapplications and managed partnerships• Manage the project team to drive results and successes; Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities• Manages the entire project life cycle from discovery through lessons learned• Facilitates team/stakeholder interactions, meetings and communications• Works with project resources, including procurement and vendor, to assure project health• Ensure the team is working together and step in when needed• Understands, monitors and reports on project tasks, milestones and deliverables.• Document and report on project management activities• Guides project teams to define requirements or stories/sprints/backlogs• Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changeswhere necessary - Balances priorities among multiple projects/subprojects• Plan, budget, monitor and report on the project with project management tools. Present to stakeholdersreports on progress as well as problems and solutions.• Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation andexcellence• Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and servicesQualifications:• Minimum of 3+ years in a project management or similar role utilizing PM processes/protocols• 1+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation• PM methodologies (i.e., Waterfall, Lean, Kanban, Agile, hybrid)• Bachelor's degree required• PMP Certification required• Proactive Orientation• Strong ability to identify and resolve risks/issues/changes, Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adaptto change and competing demands• Takes Ownership• Commitment to actions that lead to success for self/team/organization• Drives to Results• Track record of project results (with increasing levels of difficulty)• Customer Focus - Strong customer service orientation• Excellent Communicator, Strong verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills, Personable• Strong team/stakeholder interactions and working relationships; Effective with IT professionals• Strong planning, organization and presentation skills
