Account Manager Role OverviewThe Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of assigned customer accounts, driving repeat revenue through service, repairs, inspections, and small to mid-sized projects. This role is relationship-driven, execution-focused, and accountable for both customer satisfaction and revenue growth within an assigned territory or account base.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount & Relationship ManagementOwn and manage assigned customer accounts and relationshipsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility managers, owners, and general contractorsServe as the primary point of contact for customers within the assigned territoryAct as a proactive ambassador for Greenwood Industries and its offeringsRevenue Growth & Opportunity DevelopmentCultivate new business opportunities within assigned territory (Cold Calling / Door Knocking)Drive repeat business through repairs, inspections, maintenance programs, and small to mid-sized projectsIdentify, develop, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accountsAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targetsGenerate new opportunities through account management, referrals, networking, and targeted outreachConvert expiring GPA’s into paid GPA’sIdentify opportunities to upsell for safety improvements on siteSales Execution & EstimatingConsult with clients to assess existing roof conditions and recommend appropriate repair or service solutionsAccurately estimate roof repairs and service work in accordance with industry standards and company guidelinesWork with estimating to develop clear, professional proposals and follow through to close opportunitiesUtilize company cam and other sales tools to document roof conditions and scope work in the fieldInternal Coordination & Project SupportWork closely with operations, service managers, and internal teams to ensure successful project executionCoordinate scheduling, handoffs, and follow-up to deliver a strong customer experienceAssist with collections and receivables for assigned accounts as directed by managementCRM & Process DisciplineMaintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, activity tracking, and account documentation in the CRMUse the CRM daily for account management, proposal development, scheduling, and sales activity trackingFollow established sales processes, reporting requirements, and CRM standardsProfessional Development & Market PresenceParticipate in ongoing sales meetings, training, and professional developmentAttend associations, manufacturer seminars, conferences, trade shows, chamber of commerce, and marketing events as required to support market presence and industry knowledgeOrganize and execute with sales team on sales blitz’s in assigned territorySelf-awareness and continuous improvement on individual gapsQualificationsExperience in commercial roofing, construction services, or building envelope strongly preferred5+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably in commercial or industrial marketsProven ability to build, manage, and grow client relationshipsStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsComfortable managing multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlinesExperience using CRM platforms for pipeline and account managementDetail-oriented with strong follow-through and organizational skillsSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and within a team environmentComfortable with heights and performing roof assessments as requiredStrong work ethic and customer service mindset
