Network Engineer, Senior | McLean, VA | Hybrid | $77,600 - $176,000We're working with a leading global strategy and technology consultancy focused on mission-critical defense innovation on this exciting opportunity.Help secure and scale the digital backbone of the Department of War by engineering resilient enterprise and tactical networks. This high-impact role blends deep technical expertise in Aruba WLAN, SD-WAN, and cybersecurity to directly support military readiness and connectivity for those who serve.The Role Lead the design and deployment of large-scale enterprise infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and data center connectivity. Architect and manage Aruba wireless ecosystems, implementing ClearPass, controllers, and Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN solutions. Drive network security by conducting vulnerability scans and ensuring compliance with DoD STIGs and IA standards. Perform deep-dive packet analysis and performance tuning using Wireshark, SolarWinds, and tcpdump to resolve complex outages. Collaborate on cross-functional IT projects to integrate cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and automated workflows into secure mission environments.What You'll Need 7+ years of professional experience in enterprise-level network engineering and infrastructure design. Active Secret security clearance (required for access to classified mission data). Deep expertise in Aruba or Cisco wireless solutions and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. Hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies (Aruba EdgeConnect, Juniper SSR) and network security tools like Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls.
