Video Producer & Visual Content Specialist

DescriptionVIDEO PRODUCER & VISUAL CONTENT SPECIALISTWe're looking for a Multimedia Producer to help bring freight rail industry messaging to life through high-quality visual content. In this role, you'll play a key part in production-leading the technical execution of video shoots, editing, and delivering content across platforms. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the mix-setting up and running shoots, capturing compelling footage, and turning it into polished, impactful final content. The role will also help translate AAR data, research, and policy insights into clear visual storytelling, working closely with AAR's Policy & Economics team.This position reports to the AVP of Creative and collaborates closely with colleagues across the Communications team.ResponsibilitiesProduce Video ContentShoot video and photography in-studio and on-location, capturing high-quality footage, interviews, and b-rollFully own setup and breakdown of camera, lighting, and audio for shootsMake sound technical decisions in both controlled and field environmentsOperate equipment independently to ensure strong production qualityEdit video from raw footage through final delivery, including color correction and audio cleanupCreate motion graphics, titles, and simple animations as neededAdapt videos for social, web, YouTube, presentations, and campaignsMaintain the in-house studio and equipment, including supporting livestream videoCreate Supporting Graphic & Visual ContentSupport with AAR's paid digital campaign and social media programDevelop supporting visual assets for video content, including thumbnails, title cards, and promotional graphicsHelp design graphics for social media, web, presentations, and digital campaigns as neededAdapt and resize creative assets for different platforms and formatsSupport in-house creative needs, including office digital displaysCollaborate on Creative ExecutionWork with the Communications team to develop creative concepts across owned and paidContribute ideas while aligning with established direction and brandEnsure consistency in quality and style across deliverablesTranslate Data & Policy Insights Into Visual ContentWork closely with AAR's Policy & Economics team to identify data, research and policy insights that can be turned into compelling visual contentDevelop charts, infographics, presentation visuals and data-driven social content that make complex freight rail issues and complex data points clear and accessibleHelp translate technical analysis into public-facing visuals for campaigns, briefings, social media, web and presentationsEnsure data visualizations are accurate, clear, on-brand and aligned with AAR's messaging prioritiesRequirementsQualificationsExperienceA minimum of 3 years of experience in video production, editing, and multimedia content creationExperience executing shoots from setup through final deliveryBackground in agency, in-house, media, nonprofit, or similar environmentExperience with data visualization, chart design, or infographic development, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling visuals.Technical SkillsStrong working knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio equipmentAbility to independently set up and run shootsProficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including knowledge and experience with Premiere Pro, Photoshop and IllustratorExperience with motion graphics (After Effects or similar)Strong working knowledge of graphic design for digital contentComfortable producing content for social and digital platformsComfortable exploring emerging AI technologiesCreative SkillsStrong data visualization skillsStrong eye for composition, pacing, and how to share data and information in compelling waysAbility to turn raw footage into polished, engaging contentComfortable working across formats (social, interviews, event content, etc.)Strong eye for composition, pacing, and how to present data, research, and policy information in visually compelling ways.Work skillsReliable and organized, able to manage multiple projectsComfortable working independently on production tasksOpen feedback and guidanceAdaptable in fast-paced or changing environments
