Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Physician Specialty: General MedicineAssignment: As Needed BasisDetails: Default Rate Type: DailyEmergency/Temp Privileges: NoShift Type: DaysShift Description: PRN - as needed basisWeekend Requirements: Able to work weekends, if desired/neededOn-Call Requirements: NoneOverview: We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country.Assignment Details: Duration: PRN basis, ongoingSpecialties Accepted: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or anyone with a background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pensionCoverage Options: Two options available - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practiceShift Options: Half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)Exam Type: One-time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessmentsExam Format: Primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testingPrescribing/Treatment: No prescribing or treatment involvedCredentialing: Quick credentialing & onboarding processCertification: DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certifiedEquipment: Use of Goniometer requiredExpertise Required: Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions. Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.Technology: Own personal laptop (NO MACs) required for completing evaluations and submitting Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)Reporting: DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report.
