Program ManagerLocation: 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004 Work Type: Hybrid (Local DMV candidates only: DC, MD, and VA) Interview Mode: VideoRole SummaryThe Program Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of large and complex programs through all phases of the Project Management Lifecycle (initiation, planning, iterative development, continuous testing, execution, control, and closeout). This individual serves as the primary technical point of contact for the customer and collaborates across multiple task areas including infrastructure (SaaS, PaaS, or on-premise), applications, QA, change management, and customer service support.Key ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Management: Manage relationships with managers, stakeholders, and software/service vendors.System Implementation: Provide thought leadership for Software/Hardware system implementations and IT application processes.Daily Project Oversight: Define deliverables, create and monitor sprints, manage project schedules, and maintain backlogs.SDLC Leadership: Lead teams through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using appropriate Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Communication & Reporting: Develop communication plans and prepare executive steering committee updates to ensure stakeholders are well-informed.Resource Coordination: Identify project/resource dependencies and align project objectives with stakeholder goals.Team Motivation: Direct and collaborate with team members to ensure performance targets and deadlines are met.Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)12+ years of experience managing and implementing concurrent separate initiatives of varying size.Minimum of 4 individual multi-year project implementation experiences.Proven success leading initiatives within an Agile methodology environment.Extensive knowledge and success as a team leader, including coaching staff and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio, and Atlassian Jira/Confluence.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.PMP, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other recognized Agile/ScrumMaster certification.
