Job Title: Robot / Vision Engineer (FANUC + Vision Systems)Location: Warren, MI (Hybrid)Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)Start Date: Immediate / 2–3 weeksShift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, may vary)Job OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Robot/Vision Engineer with experience in industrial automation to support programming, troubleshooting, and integration of robotic and vision systems within a manufacturing environment.This role will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure automation systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, troubleshoot, and optimize FANUC RobotsDevelop and maintain robot programs (TP, KAREL, tool setup, I/O mapping)Configure and troubleshoot vision systems including Cognex (In-Sight, VisionPro)Support Matrox Imaging (MIL / Design Assistant) applicationsIntegrate robots and vision systems with PLCs (Allen-Bradley / Siemens) and HMISupport installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of automation systemsTroubleshoot production issues and minimize downtimeCollaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, maintenance, production)Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls, or related field3–5 years of experience in robotics, automation, and vision systemsStrong experience in FANUC robot programmingHands-on experience with Cognex vision systems (In-Sight / VisionPro)Experience with Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) or Design AssistantPLC/HMI experience (Allen-Bradley / Siemens preferred)Experience working in manufacturing / production environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Fanuc iRVision (3D vision, line tracking)Robot simulation tools (e.g., ROBOGUIDE)Experience with conveyor systems / CNC / automation linesExposure to Python, ROS2, or AI-based automationAutomotive industry experienceWork EnvironmentHybrid schedule (onsite Tue–Thu, may vary based on project needs)High interaction with cross-functional teamsWork across Body Shop, Assembly, and Production areasFast-paced manufacturing environmentWhy Apply?Work on advanced robotics and vision systemsExposure to cutting-edge manufacturing technologiesOpportunity to contribute to high-impact automation projectsPotential for long-term extensionGTech is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment.
