Frozen Food SupervisorPosition SummaryThe Frozen Food Manager oversees all daily operations of the frozen foods department, ensuring product availability, freshness, inventory accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. This role leads department associates, manages ordering and shrink, and partners with store leadership to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of the frozen foods departmentOrder product to maintain proper inventory levels and minimize out‐of‐stocks and shrinkEnsure proper rotation, dating, and handling of all frozen productsMaintain freezer temperatures and cold chain integrity at all timesExecute planograms, resets, seasonal transitions, and promotional displaysMaintain cleanliness and organization of freezers, cases, and backroom areasMonitor department sales, labor, and supply usageRespond to customer questions, concerns, and special requestsPeople LeadershipSupervise, train, and develop frozen food associatesAssign daily tasks and workload based on business prioritiesCoach associates on productivity, food safety, and merchandising standardsPromote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environmentSupport scheduling and timekeeping accuracyFood Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsMonitor freezer temperatures and document required logsProperly handle recalls, damaged product, and shrink proceduresFollow company policies related to safety, loss prevention, and merchandisingOperations & MerchandisingEnsure accurate pricing, signage, and label placementMaintain organized backroom and freezer storage areasTrack sales trends, shrink, and inventory movementCommunicate operational needs and issues to store leadershipSupport company initiatives and department performance goalsQualificationsPrevious frozen food, grocery, or retail management experience preferredStrong inventory and organizational skillsAbility to work in cold environments and lift heavy productsStrong time‐management and problem‐solving skillsFlexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidaysSkills & CompetenciesAttention to detailLeadership and accountabilityAbility to multitask in a fast‐paced environmentClear communication skillsCustomer‐focused mindset
