Associate Technician - Shipping/Receiving & DistributionThe Associate Technician - Shipping/Receiving & Distribution is responsible for receiving, shipping, and inventory control for direct and indirect materials. This associate will begin in receiving and will be cross trained in shipping and inventory control duties as staffing requires. We need a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. You will receive materials for manufacturing, perform manual and administrative duties with various ERP and other computer systems, and kit materials to support the manufacturing workflow while maintaining compliance with relevant local, national, and international guidelines. This position belongs to Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter and is located in West Sacramento, CA. You will be an integral part of the Global Marketing team and report to the Materials Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Receive all expensed and production material and work with Incoming Inspections to resolve quality issuesMaintain kanban locations throughout warehouse and point-of-use locationsPerform cycle counts and reconcile inventoryKit and move product to and from cold and ambient storage locationsProactively find and resolve safety and performance issuesComplete compliance and safety training to schedulesThe essential requirements of the job include:High school degree (or equivalent degree)Able to lift 50lbs infrequently and work in hot warehouse and cold storage environmentsExperience with significant data entry and administrative tasks via MS Office platform and Oracle or similar ERP systemIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Forklift experience/license for Standing/Sitting Forklifts and scissor lifts2+ years exp in warehouse or mfg. environment
