Estate Probate Trust Attorney
Our expanding boutique law firm is looking for an experienced probate, estate, and trust associate attorney. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with experience on the estate planning side with some probate to join our growing boutique law firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in estate planning, wills, trusts, estates, and fiduciary duties. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex matters, work closely with senior attorneys, and develop expertise in a niche and high-demand area of law. Our ideal candidate will have extensive estate planning and trust knowledge, be a qualified attorney with 3-5 years of experience, and have excellent written and oral communication abilities. Please send a cover letter as to your interest and why you would be a great fit for the position.Responsibilities:Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of actionOrganize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept currentCommunicate with clients about plans for dispersing their assetsProvide clients with information about retirement plans, charitable contributions, and insurance choicesConfer with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation processRepresent clients in probate and trust litigation matters, including will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and trust modificationsDraft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery requests/responsesConduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issuesParticipate in mediations, court hearingsCollaborate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to advance case strategyMaintain timely communication with clients and provide legal advice throughout the processManage deadlines and case files with attention to detail and strategic thinkingQualifications:Experience at a legal firm working on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years is requiredActive member of the ABA (American Bar Association)Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situationsBachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are requiredUnderstanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigationActive member of the California Bar AssociationAbout Company:We are a collaborative team of professionals.
