With demand for home backup power continuing to grow, we’re looking for a driven, consultative sales professional to take ownership of in-home sales and help us continue expanding our footprint.
This is a lead-from-the-front role, you’ll drive results personally while shaping the strategy and standards that scale the market.

Territory & Travel
Field-based role supporting Maryland, Eastern Pennsylvania, DC, Northern Virginia, and Delaware.
Local travel required daily (60–75%) for in-home consultations and retail partner visits
Combination of:
In-home customer appointments
Retail partner engagement (big box retailers)
Coordination with internal teams and field operations at corporate office
A Quick Snapshot of the Role
One week you might be:
Meeting with homeowners to design and quote generator systems
Following up on estimates to close deals and move projects forward
Partnering with a retail store to drive new lead flow and educate team on product offerings
Coordinating with operations to ensure jobs are ready for installation
What You’ll Be Doing
Own in-home consultations to assess customer needs and design generator solutions
Build trust with homeowners through a consultative, education-first sales approach
Own your pipeline — follow up on leads, estimates, and opportunities to drive close rates
Partner with retail locations to generate and convert leads
Coordinate with operations and service teams to ensure smooth project execution
Support customers from initial consultation through signed agreement
Stay sharp on product knowledge, pricing, and industry trends
Build processes, have your ideas heard and make an impact in meaningful ways.

What You Bring
3+ years of quota-carrying sales experience (home improvement, HVAC, electrical, solar, or similar preferred)
Experience with in-home or consultative sales processes
Experience with generator sales / electrical estimating (preferred)
Strong ability to manage a pipeline and close high-value deals
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
Current MHIC Salesperson License (Preferred)
Ability to obtain MHIC Salesperson License within 60 days (company-sponsored under continuing education agreement)

Compensation & Benefits
Total on-target earnings: $85,000 – $95,000+ annually (base salary + commission)
Uncapped commission structure — strong performers can exceed OTE
