The right Culinary Receiver (Overnight) will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.The Culinary Receiver (Overnight) is responsible for receiving, handling, and storing all food and beverage items in accordance with proper food handling practices. These responsibilities will be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary Of Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesReceives daily food orders, check orders for accuracy, and store inventory according to shop specificationsMaintains cleanliness in food storage areas by keeping the area free of slip and fall hazards as well as tripping hazardsPractices FIFO methods daily including dating and physically rotating productsReceives departmental supplies and distribute them to proper storage areasMonitors receiving and accept or reject according to Dollywood Company and safe food handling practicesInspects cooler and freezer temperatures, reporting any issues to Maintenance and moving product as necessaryMonitors and reports loss preventionAssists in spot checking of weekly inventories as necessaryPartners with The Dollywood Company Warehouse team and be the liaison for deliveries to and from the warehouseFosters relationships with Dollywood Company Leadership, Chefs and outside vendorsResponsible for completing credit card transactions in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security StandardsManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any timeEducation And Experience RequiredMust be at least 18 years oldMay require operating knowledge of manufacturing or computer equipment, or may require broad knowledge in clerical or service areasMust be able to train to operate a pallet jackMust be able to train to operate a forkliftMust be able to obtain ServSafe Manager CertificationMust have a valid driver’s license and proof of insuranceMust successfully complete a post-employment offer background check including motor vehicle and drug screenKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesAble to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employeesMust reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in workMust be self-motivated and disciplinedMust be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basisMust maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged informationMust be committed to continuous improvementMust maintain a professional appearance with good personal hygieneMust promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workersMust be productive in a fast-paced environmentMust maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelinesMust be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skillsAble to comprehend instructions and retain informationAble to perform duties consistently while creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guestsAble to be flexible and handle frequent changes in prioritiesAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracyAble to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methodsAble to tolerate various temperatures while working indoors and outdoorsAble to meet the physical demands of the jobAble to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid driver’s license and insuranceAble to smile and make eye contact to make a friendly impression when greeting guests, vendors and other employeesMust have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job dutiesAble to sit and/or stand for long/short periodsAble to tolerate temperatures of -15 to 100 degreesAble to tolerate working on different weather elements; rain, heat, snow etcAble to work outdoorsAble to lift 30 lbs with or without a 2-person lift. 30+ lbs require a 2-person liftMust be able and available to work 3rd and 1st shiftsMust comply with all Health Department, ServSafe, and Company regulations pertaining to safe food handling practices Physical And Cognitive RequirementsLifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfacesRepetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
